"it is on this (quieter) love that the engine of marriage is run: being in love was the explosion that started it.”
A bookstore. 15 years old. A stuffed shark.
My mom drove me to a bookstore to buy my very first professional camera. Just a little teenage tot, my awkward self made the sale, and the camera was placed in my very incapable and inexperienced hands. My metal mouth grinned (RIP braces).
I was so excited to have a hobby and a skill to refine. I went home and immediately went to work, taking pictures of my dog and many, many pictures of my floppy stuffed shark.
FROM A FLOPPY SHARK TO BEAUTIFUL WEDDINGS
Many years have passed. I no longer have braces (Lord knows where that stuffed shark is), and I'm now privileged to serve so many couples. Each couple presents an opportunity to explore creativity and reflect the uniqueness they have through a visual story. However, my passion for and curiosity in people drives me towards their adventurous tale.
People are the reason behind every story I tell. To know a story best, you must know the people behind it.
They give me a new perspective to consider about love. Without the beautiful people in front of my lens, my photos have less meaning, less story, less authenticity. I want to not only tell your story, but tell it well. This is why I do photography.
